Each host can show IP, latency, gateway and local-device hints, Wi-Fi vs Ethernet context where available, SSDP-friendly names, reverse DNS, and vendor hints from the MAC when data is available. Open ports are checked with TCP connects and UDP probes; the app explains that UDP results are inherently probabilistic.

Discovery and saved scans use local network access and stay on your device unless you export or share them. DNS-over-HTTPS to Google is used only for the MX, NS, and SOA tool and sends the hostname you entered — not your Apple ID.

Use AlphaProbe only on networks and equipment you own or are explicitly authorised to test. Results are diagnostic aids — not a guarantee of security or completeness. Port and reachability outcomes can vary between runs because of Wi-Fi conditions, timeouts, and UDP behaviour.
